The next Chained soldier (Mato Seihei no slave) the animated series has announced three new characters that will join its voice cast. The production team also released character design visuals for the characters. The premiere of the anime is scheduled for 2023.
The new voice cast includes Yume Miyamoto like Himari Azuma, Mari Hino like Shushu Suruga, and Hina Tachibana like Nei Ookawamura. They join Yuya Hirose as protagonist Yuuki Wakura and Akari Kitō like Kyouka Uzen.
The production staff of anime adaptation consists of Gorou Kuji (Bungo to Alchemist assistant director) as director of the series, Junji Nishimura (Vlad Love) as Chief Director, Hiroyuki Yoshii (Just because !) as a character designer, and Kaoru Nishimura (Dance with dragons) as a color creator. seven bows is in charge of the animation production for the series.
the original Chained soldier manga series written by Takahiro and illustrated by Youhei Takamura was first serialized on the Shonen Jump+ app on January 5, 2019 under Shueisha’s Jump Comics label. A total of 10 tankoubon volumes have been released in May 2022, with the upcoming 11th volume scheduled for release on September 2, 2022.
Yen Press publishes the manga in English. He describes the synopsis as follows:
Decades ago, gates to an otherworldly and dangerous dimension known as Mato – the “Demon City” – appeared across Japan. Those who consumed the “peaches” growing there gained unique abilities, but only if they were girls. When Yuuki Wakura, a depressed high school student, gets caught in a doorway, he is rescued by Kyouka Uzen, the beautiful commander of the Demon Defense Force’s 7th Squad, who…orders him to become her slave?!
