A new key visual and a short trailer of call of the night came out, promoting the character of Akira Asai (voiced by Yumiri Hanamori). The anime is planned for the first in July 2022.
The 15 seconds photovoltaic trailer highlights his character by talking to the protagonist, Kou Yamori (voiced by Gen Satou), while the visual shows her sitting on a swing in daylight.
Tomoyuki Itamura (The Vanitas Case Study) directs the animated series while Tetsuya Miyanishi (Aoharu X Machine Gunlisten)) serves as chief director. Michiko Yokote (Grand Jahy will not be defeated!) writes the script for the anime and Haruka Sagawa (Kamiari Child Month) does the character design. LIDENFILMS is handling the production of the animation, and the anime will air on Fuji TV’s Noitamina block.
The original manga series was first published in 2019 and released 10 tankoubon volumes as of March 2022. It is written and illustrated by Dagashi Kashi Creator Kotoyama and is currently published in Shogakukan’s Weekly Shounen Sunday magazine.
Viz Media describes the story as follows:
One sleepless night, Ko slips away to walk the streets. Life after dark is an eye opener! When the flirtatious Nazuna invites Ko to spend the night at her place in an abandoned building, he is delighted! But then he wakes up with kisses on her neck that are a bit too biting… Is it just the delicious taste of his blood that makes her meet him night after night for nighttime adventures, conversations and… naps? Or something else? Then, when a pretty girl from Ko’s past shows up and competes for his attention, his budding relationship with the undead is put to the test!
